Who we are
Building Plan was founded by a professional with 38 years of experience in the building construction profession, having been a Valuer registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP), and registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP). With a long career in the Inspectorate field — and now retired from formal practice — the founder was regularly approached by the public with questions relating to our profession, and saw the need for a group of professional architects and draughtsmen to assist the public in this field.
How we work
After accepting your sketch plans, we finalise your plans. These plans are highly detailed, and consist of elevations, sections, roof layout, drainage layout, site plan, boundary wall details, complete floor plan, and a description of detailed requirements and finishes. These plans, together with the required documentation, are then submitted to the local authority for approval.
Our reputation rests on three things: clear communication, accurate drawings, and approval-ready submissions. Whether your project is a small alteration or a new build, you'll work with the same registered professionals from the first sketch to the final approved plan.
